Motifmotion is a Philadelphia animation studio that builds 3D animation for product visualization, medical and scientific communication, industrial and technical explainers, and character work, for organizations across the U.S. Modeling, texturing, animation and rendering all happen in house. 3D product animation
3D product animation shows an object from every angle, or reveals how it works internally, without a photoshoot or a physical prototype. One 3D model becomes a 360-degree turntable, an exploded view of the internal parts, and a photorealistic hero shot, all from the same source file. That same asset then carries a launch film, a product demo for the sales team, and the short cuts a campaign needs.
It matters most in three situations:

Choose 3D when the subject is physical or spatial, a product, a machine, a body or a building. Choose 2D when the subject is a concept, a process or a story that does not need a real-world sense of depth. 2D animation is faster and more budget friendly, and works well for explainer video, brand films and social content. 3D adds depth and realism: it can rotate an object, move a camera through a space, and light a surface the way a photograph would, at the cost of more time and a higher price.

Messiah University, We Are Like Stained Glass. A stained-glass rose window built and lit entirely in 3D, then flown through: individual panels carry archive photography, the camera moves between them, and light passes through colored glass the way it would in a real window. Nothing in the sequence is a flat illustration of glass. The window is modeled, textured and lit, which is what lets the camera travel inside it and hold up at close range.
