Case Study

Gerhart Process Solutions – Flagship brand film

Gerhart Process Solutions has been a material handling, weighing and IC&E provider since 1929. The brief was to earn the pitch a 95-year history deserves: one continuous film, not a highlight reel, that carries the company from its founding to its current position as a single-source industrial partner.

Motifmotion built the film around a moving timeline: the same isometric facility grows in front of the viewer as the years advance, adding the machinery, storage and process equipment the company has taken on since 1929. A second piece for Gerhart Services takes the opposite approach: a labeled process-flow diagram, built for engineers who need the actual system, not a story about it.

One shot, ninety-five years

Most brand films cut between scenes. This one holds a single camera move over an isometric facility while a timeline ribbon runs underneath it, and the equipment, the storage tanks, the conveyors, the racking, appears as the years pass. The history is the visual, not a voiceover explaining it.

  • A single continuous take, not a cut-together highlight reel
  • The facility itself grows on screen as the timeline advances
  • 1929 to today, ending on the single-source partner positioning

Two ways to tell an industrial story

Gerhart's flagship film and its process animation solve different problems with the same visual language. The film sells the company: ninety-five years, five verticals, one continuous shot. The process piece explains a system: bulk bag unloader, control mixers, weighted tank, pump, storage tank, each part labeled and static, because an engineer reading it needs the diagram to hold still.

  • The flagship film: one continuous isometric shot, built for a pitch or a homepage
  • The Services piece: a static, labeled process diagram, built for an engineer reading it
  • Same client, same visual language, two different jobs
