Corporate animation videos for business
Motifmotion makes corporate animation videos for business: brand films, internal communications, explainers, and the series that keep them going. Corporate animation is any animated video a company uses to communicate with a business goal behind it, a story to tell, a change to announce, a product or service to make clear. The studio has produced this work for Johnson & Johnson, Mayo Clinic, PBS-WHYY, PECO and Spectrum, in 2D, 3D and motion graphics, from a single piece to an eighteen-episode run, and increasingly blended with live footage. This page covers the types of corporate videos we produce, what each is used for, and what corporate video production costs.

Animate it, shoot it, or blend the two
Told to get a video made, most companies have not decided how. The rule is simpler than it looks. Live action when the person is the message: a leader, a customer, a place. Animation when the idea is: a process, a policy, a product, a story with no set. Blended when both are true, which is most corporate work.
Footage dates the moment it is shot. Animation re-cuts for years, and a style system built once carries a whole series of corporate video content.
Motifmotion is animation-forward: most of what we make is animated, and when a message needs a real person on screen we produce live action too. Our videographers shoot it, our creative team designs and animates it, and both are finished by the same people with motion graphics, titles, sound and editing. Shoots are simplest around Philadelphia, where our partners are based; elsewhere we work with local videography partners. Tell us the message and the audience. We will tell you which format fits, and produce it. For ads and campaigns, see commercial video production.

Live action and mixed media
Real people and real footage, finished with animation and titles. Customer testimonials, leadership messages and testimonial videos are the clearest case: a person on camera where the person is the message, high-quality footage, animation where the idea is. Blending the two is what neither a production house nor an animation-only studio can offer.

Types of corporate videos we produce
Each type of video below links to the page that covers it in depth. Most of it is produced in 2D animation; product, device and technical subjects go to 3D animation; data and interface walkthroughs to motion graphics. All three sit under our Animation Services page. Full courses are built on the eLearning video production page.
The company's story, values or origin, told as a film that runs for years.
Announcements, leadership updates, policy and process changes, made for employees.
A product or service made clear in under two minutes, for a target audience that has not heard of you yet.
Onboarding, compliance and courses built for an LMS, as single videos or full programs.
Who you are, told to the people you want to hire, plus company culture videos for welcoming new hires.
Short pieces built for social media channels and to run before, between and around other content.
Brand films and corporate storytelling
Gerhart's Story, the film beside this text, is a brand film: a company's history and values told as one continuous piece, built to run on the website, at events and in sales conversations for years. Animation carried it because the story spans decades no one filmed, and because one illustrated world holds together in a way archive photos and new footage never do.
Brand stories are the one piece a company can keep using. Footage of a team or a building ages the day it changes; animation does not. The mechanics are the same for every project: script first, storyboard, style frames, an animatic that times the story to a rough soundtrack, then animation and sound. See the Mac Papers + Packaging case study for a series built the same way.

Internal communications video
Employees do not read the memo. They watch the short version. An internal communications video puts an announcement, a leadership update or a policy change in front of the whole company in the same words, at the same time, in a format people finish. A message from the c-suite lands differently when every stakeholder sees the same version, and a video aimed at one target audience, new hires or one region, can be cut from the same system.
Animation suits internal audiences for reasons that have nothing to do with style: no faces that leave the company, no reshoot when the policy changes, and one style system reused across a year of updates. The HCSG employee training series is the same discipline applied to training: one system, dozens of episodes, the same look every time.
- Company announcements and leadership updates
- Policy, process and systems changes
- Onboarding and culture, for people who joined last week
- Recurring series, one style system across a year

Eighteen episodes, one system
The Judge Group needed a job-explainer series that could grow without a new production each time. Motifmotion built one style system and produced eighteen episodes, each under 35 seconds, from it. Every new video project started ahead, and every final video matched the last. It is the model for any corporate series: internal updates, product releases, customer education.

Our corporate video production process
From concept to final delivery, our process ensures your video is effective, engaging, and suited to your goals. Every project moves from pre-production (discovery, scripting, storyboarding) through production (design, illustration, animation) to post-production (sound design, video editing and delivery of the final video), and it adapts to where you already are.

Managing DirectorHow much does corporate video production cost?
Our corporate video production services are priced by format. Training videos and series work are priced per finished minute; one-off marketing pieces are priced per project in three tiers; live action and blended work is quoted per project after scoping, because the footage side varies more than the animation side. The bands below are the ones published in our animation cost guide.
- Training videos and series animation: $360 to $3,000 per finished minute, most projects $800 to $900
- Explainer and marketing pieces: $3,000 to $6,000 modest, $6,000 to $9,000 moderate, $9,000 to $15,000 premium
- Live action and blended pieces: quoted per project after a scoping call
Corporate video production FAQs
Any animated video a company uses to communicate with a business goal behind it: a brand film like Gerhart's Story, an internal announcement, a product explainer, or a training series. An effective corporate video resonates because it says one thing clearly. Motifmotion produces them in 2D, 3D and motion graphics, and blends them with live footage when a real person belongs on screen.
Training and series animation runs $360 to $3,000 per finished minute, most projects $800 to $900. One-off brand and marketing pieces run $3,000 to $15,000 per project across three tiers. Live action and blended work is quoted per project after a scoping call.
Most projects run from a few weeks to a few months, depending on length and complexity. Ongoing series can run for years. We’ll give you a realistic timeline up front.
Live action when the person is the message, a leader or a customer. Animation when the idea is, a process, a policy or a product. Blended when both are true, which is most corporate work. Tell us the message and the audience and we will recommend the format on the first call.
Yes. We are animation-forward, and we produce live action whenever a message needs a real person on screen. Our videographers shoot it, our creative team designs and animates it, and both are finished by the same people with motion graphics, titles, sound and editing.
Yes. We lead the full process from concept and scripting through design, illustration, animation, and sound — or we jump in wherever you already are.
Yes. We include two rounds of revisions per phase, so you can shape the work as it develops rather than only at the end.
Yes. A series is where animation pays off: one style system, reused across every episode, with no reshoots when the message changes. The Judge Group series, eighteen episodes each under 35 seconds, was produced that way, and the same model fits monthly internal updates.
2D is faster and more budget-friendly, the right fit for explainers, brand and internal work. 3D adds depth and realism for products, devices and machinery, and costs more. Many projects mix both. See our 2D and 3D animation pages for examples of each.
Look at relevant work at the length and complexity you need, not a highlight reel, and check whether it would resonate with your target audience. Ask whether they can animate, shoot, or blend the two, and which they lead with. Then ask about process, revisions and timelines before you commit.
