## Corporate animation videos for business

Motifmotion makes corporate animation videos for business: brand films, internal communications, explainers, and the series that keep them going. Corporate animation is any animated video a company uses to communicate with a business goal behind it, a story to tell, a change to announce, a product or service to make clear. The studio has produced this work for Johnson & Johnson, Mayo Clinic, PBS-WHYY, PECO and Spectrum, in 2D, 3D and motion graphics, from a single piece to an eighteen-episode run, and increasingly blended with live footage. This page covers the types of corporate videos we produce, what each is used for, and what corporate video production costs. Call us a corporate video agency or an animation studio; the work is the same.

## Animate it, shoot it, or blend the two

Told to get a video made, most companies have not decided how. The rule is simpler than it looks. Live action when the person is the message: a leader, a customer, a place. Animation when the idea is: a process, a policy, a product, a story with no set. Blended when both are true, which is most corporate work.

Footage dates the moment it is shot. Animation re-cuts for years, and a style system built once carries a whole series of corporate video content.

Motifmotion is animation-forward: most of what we make is animated, and when a message needs a real person on screen we produce live action too. Our videographers shoot it, our creative team designs and animates it, and both are finished by the same people with motion graphics, titles, sound and editing. Shoots are simplest around [Philadelphia](/animation-studio-in-philadelphia), where our partners are based; elsewhere we work with local videography partners. Tell us the message and the audience. We will tell you which format fits, and produce it. For ads and campaigns, see [commercial video production](/services/commercial-video-production).

## Live action and mixed media

Real people and real footage, finished with animation and titles. Customer testimonials, leadership messages and testimonial videos are the clearest case: a person on camera where the person is the message, high-quality footage, animation where the idea is. Blending the two is what neither a production house nor an animation-only studio can offer.

## Types of corporate videos we produce

Corporate video earns its budget by doing one job many times. An onboarding module plays for every hire, a product explainer answers the same question on every sales call, an internal update reaches a distributed team without a meeting. The cost is paid once. The reach compounds. Company video production splits into the six types below.

Each type of video below links to the page that covers it in depth. Most of it is produced in [2D animation](/services/2d-animation-services); product, device and technical subjects go to [3D animation](/services/3d-animation-services); data and interface walkthroughs to [motion graphics](/services/motion-graphics-services). All three sit under our [Animation Services](/services/animation-and-video-production) page. Full courses are built through [eLearning course production](/services/e-learning-video-production). For a first number on a corporate piece, get an [animation budget estimate](/tools/animation-budget-calculator).

## Brand films and corporate storytelling

The company's story, values or origin, told as a film that runs for years.

## Internal communications

Announcements, leadership updates, policy and process changes, made for employees.

## Explainer videos

A product or service made clear in under two minutes, for a target audience that has not heard of you yet.

## Training and eLearning

Onboarding, compliance and courses built for an LMS, as single videos or full programs.

## Recruitment and culture

Who you are, told to the people you want to hire, plus company culture videos for welcoming new hires.

## Commercials and ads

Short pieces built for social media channels and to run before, between and around other content. The work of a promotional video production company, in animation or live action.

## Brand films and corporate storytelling

[Gerhart's Story](/case-studies/gerhart-flagship-brand-film), the film beside this text, is a brand film: a company's history and values told as one continuous piece, built to run on the website, at events and in sales conversations for years. Animation carried it because the story spans decades no one filmed, and because one illustrated world holds together in a way archive photos and new footage never do.

Brand stories are the one piece a company can keep using. Footage of a team or a building ages the day it changes; animation does not. The mechanics are the same for every project: script first, storyboard, style frames, an animatic that times the story to a rough soundtrack, then animation and sound. See the [Mac Papers + Packaging case study](/case-studies/mac-paper-manufacturing-video) for a series built the same way. Brand video production is where animation earns its keep: the film runs for years, and a re-cut costs far less than a reshoot. For a series example, see the [eight-episode IIR series](/case-studies/iir-nonprofit-video-production-roadway-safety).

## Internal communications video

Employees do not read the memo. They watch the short version. An internal communications video puts an announcement, a leadership update or a policy change in front of the whole company in the same words, at the same time, in a format people finish. A message from the c-suite lands differently when every stakeholder sees the same version, and a video aimed at one target audience, new hires or one region, can be cut from the same system.

Animation suits internal audiences for reasons that have nothing to do with style: no faces that leave the company, no reshoot when the policy changes, and one style system reused across a year of updates. The [HCSG employee training series](/case-studies/hcsg-employee-training-video) is the same discipline applied to training: one system, dozens of episodes, the same look every time. For a marketing campaign, see the [PHLCVB meetings campaign](/case-studies/phlcvb-nonprofit-video-production).

- Company announcements and leadership updates
- Policy, process and systems changes
- Onboarding and culture, for people who joined last week
- Recurring series, one style system across a year

## Eighteen episodes, one system

The Judge Group needed a job-explainer series that could grow without a new production each time. Motifmotion built one style system and produced eighteen episodes, each under 35 seconds, from it. Every new video project started ahead, and every final video matched the last. It is the model for any corporate series: internal updates, product releases, customer education.

## Our corporate video production process

From concept to final delivery, our corporate video services run on one process, so the video is effective, engaging, and suited to your goals. Every project moves from pre-production (discovery, scripting, storyboarding) through production (design, illustration, animation) to post-production (sound design, video editing and delivery of the final video), and it adapts to where you already are.

## Discovery

Identifying your objective, audience, and core message to shape the direction of the whole project.

## Scripting

Developing a clear, on-brand script built around your key message and the action you want viewers to take.

## Storyboarding

Visual planning that maps content flow and on-screen action.

## Design

Crafting brand-aligned visual systems, layouts, and style frames.

## Illustrations

Custom artwork and animated characters tailored to your brand and story.

## Animation

Scenes are animated from the approved storyboard, so the timing is already locked and nothing is animated twice.

## Sound design

Voiceover recorded from the locked script, with music and sound effects mixed to the finished animation.

## Examples of corporate videos: enterprise clients

Named corporate video content, with the case study where one exists. Motifmotion has also produced corporate animation for Johnson & Johnson, Mayo Clinic, Spectrum, Eisai and Upskill.

## PECO

A customer education series for a regional utility: account setup, moving, outages and scams, one style system across every episode.

## Hackensack Meridian Health

A patient education series for a hospital network, from advance care planning to robotic surgery, in one visual world.

## The Judge Group

Eighteen job-explainer episodes, each under 35 seconds, produced as one system for a national staffing firm.

## Mac Papers + Packaging

A product video series for a manufacturer and distributor, built to be re-cut for years.

## PBS-WHYY

The Emmy-recognized Your Democracy civic education series for public media.

## HCSG

An employee training series for a healthcare services company, dialogue-driven and built for the LMS.

## How much does corporate video production cost?

Our corporate video production services are priced by format. Training programs and one-off marketing pieces are both priced per finished minute, at different rates; live action and blended work is quoted per project after scoping, because the footage side varies more than the animation side. The bands below are the ones published in our [animation cost guide](/animation-cost-guide).

- Training programs of 45 minutes or more: $360 to $3,000 per finished minute, most around $800 to $900
- Explainer and marketing pieces: $4,500 to $7,000 modest, $7,000 to $11,000 moderate, $8,000 to $15,000 premium, per finished minute
- Live action and blended pieces: quoted per project after a scoping call
